Studio 2 Pitch

For my Studio 2 project, I will be collaborating with Nia Coffer (https://ncoffe20.myportfolio.com/home) to build a full 3D Jungle environment in Unreal Engine. I will be in charge of the lighting, cinematography, and I will also be assisting Nia with modeling and texturing wherever needed. The Jungle environment is heavily inspired by Tarzan and will feature lots of bright foliage and winding branches. The plan is to start with a wide shot of the whole jungle and then move into a close up shot that will move through a smaller environment. In the close-up shot, there will be a lighting change from day to night and the night lighting will include bioluminescent textures inspired by Avatar. Both Nia and I wanted to expand our skillset into Real-time which led us to wanting a create a large-scale, organic environment within Unreal. I also haven't had the chance to do any real-time lighting yet so this is the perfect opportunity to do some photoreal lighting along with some stylized lighting with the bioluminescent textures.
