For this class, I started gathering cinematography references so that I could get more ideas for interesting camera moves and transitions between scenes. I have never moved a camera through such a large environment so I think it will be an interesting challenge to make everything feel cohesive and tie the two environments together. My goal for this project is to make our jungle feel like the opening to a movie, I want it to be cinematic and start introducing subtle storytelling aspects. While this isn't necessarily going to be a production design piece, the environment itself should be able to portray and setup a story. Today in class, I will be working through some story board ideas with Nia to get a better sense of the layout of the world.
CINEMATOGRAPHY REFERENCE:
Opening shot: Moving through the branches and leaves
Camera follows along winding branches
Camera following along branches / moving through vines
Interesting transition between branches, leaves as camera goes down
Awesome break down of scene
Sweeping movement above trees
Goal for my project is to feel more like a movie rather than a documentary but this had some interesting shots and great lighting reference
