Week 4 / Class 8

I ran into some issues with my files that ended up putting me a little behind but I'm still on track to have preliminary lighting done for midterm next week. My textures are just taking a little longer than expected because of the minor setback and I was putting a lot of research into my signs and lanterns. I ended up changing my main marquee to say "Karaoke" instead since karaoke is very popular in Japan and it made more since to be on a big marquee. I also did some research on Japanese lanterns and found that red chochin lanterns are usually found in front of businesses and have the name of the business written on them. This led me down a rabbit hole of what I was going to name my ramen stall and I settled on a popular ramen chain in Japan called "Ichiran." The kanji on my lanterns says "Ichiran" and the neon sign above the ramen stall will "Ichiran Ramen."

I still have a decent amount of texturing left to do but we're almost to lighting...
