Week 7 / Class 14

For this class, I added some textures and lit the first half of my scene. I think my biggest issue is that it does not feel cohesive with the second half of the scene and with my hero objects, the neon signs. I definitely need to go back and adjust the spotlights as well as reconsider the placement of the ATM sign so that is my goal for class today. The ATM sign feels especially out of place but I think if I move it further up or possibly even change how it is lit, it'll feel more cohesive with the rest of the scene.
Next class is the Class 15 presentation and my plan is to add animation. I will also be starting that in class today. I found a tutorial on how to create flickering lights using an expression in Maya so I'm hoping I can make use of that for my lights and possibly even my emission shaders.

I also slightly adjusted the lighting inside the ramen stall so it feels more inviting...

Also with this, here is the reference I used to light my lanterns. These lanterns are called chochin lanterns are commonly found outside of businesses and drinking spots in Japan.
